Are you running into an error such as AADSTS16002 also displayed as ‘Sorry but we’re having trouble signing you out’ ? The fix is easy.
You or your users may run into this issue when they try to sign out of Office 365 or its’ respective applications such as Azure or Inture. For example, they may be running into the following issues:
- When signing out of one of the portals or Outlook’s We App the user isn’t signed out of SharePoint Online.
- When a user clicks Sign out the user isn’t actually signed out. Instead, the browser simply reloads the current page.
You or your users may be signed in to another Microsoft service and this may be preventing them from signing out. The best way to resolve this error is to follow the following steps:
- Open the following link in a new tab: https://login.microsoftonline.com/logout.srf and then try signing out again.
- Open the following link in a new tab: https://login.live.com/logout.srf and then try singing out again
Visiting those two links should remedy the ‘Sorry but we’re having trouble signing you out’ error.
